Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Lecturer, Honored Artist of Ukraine

The Faculty of Fine Arts was established within the structure of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts by the decision of the Academic Council of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts in September 2016 to streamline the organizational structure of the academy. The dean of the faculty was appointed Honored Artist of Ukraine, Associate Professor Korzh-Radko L. A.

The Faculty of Fine Arts comprises three departments:

The Department of Fine Arts is headed by Candidate of Art Studies, Associate Professor Kopryva A. T.

The Department of Drawing is headed by Honored Artist of Ukraine, Associate Professor of the Department of Drawing Kovach A. M.

The Department of Culture and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines is headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Voloshchuk A. V.

The main task of the faculty is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of fine arts according to the educational and professional programs at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.

The primary goal of the Faculty of Fine Arts is to raise the professional level of its graduates to contribute to the development of contemporary Ukrainian art, preserve and creatively revive the traditions of the region, and continue the legacy of the Transcarpathian school of painting.

The faculty’s departments have developed corresponding curricula and programs for professional disciplines and specializations. Practical and theoretical courses are logically and harmoniously balanced and culminate at the end of the academic year with plein-air sessions, production practices, and teaching practices. Professional disciplines are taught by recognized artists of the region, highly skilled masters, and art historians: Honored Artists of Ukraine Korzh-Radko L. A., Kovach A. M., Kondratiuk O. Ye., Candidates of Art Studies – Kopryva A. T., Lutsenko I. V., Havrosh O. I., and Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Syrokhman M. V. The faculty also includes leading educators, such as professors, Doctors of Philosophy, Candidates of Pedagogical and Historical Sciences, and Honored Education Workers of Ukraine. The faculty team is further enriched by young creative instructors who are professionals in their fields and proudly represent Transcarpathian art at national and international exhibitions and plein-airs.

Students of the faculty consistently achieve high-quality results in defending their diploma projects and are regular participants in creative competitions and student conferences. Additionally, students and graduates actively participate in art exhibitions, plein-airs, and artistic symposia both in Ukraine and abroad.
