Considering new trends in the development of contemporary art, in the mid-2000s the college introduced a new specialty, “Design,” with a specialization in “Graphic Design.” This new direction became the successor of the departments of decoration and decorative painting. Students in the Graphic Design department learn design and graphic layout for printed materials, using computer technologies. The nature of coursework and diploma projects gained a new focus: primarily, the development of corporate identity, graphic design of books and brochures, and advertising materials.
In 2010, a new specialization, “Interior Design,” was launched, where students study the planning of exhibition spaces in interiors not only from an architectural perspective but also by integrating various types of applied arts into their projects.
